I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2006. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut, and my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from Central Connecticut State University. I have experience working with various populations in multiple settings including a sexual assault crisis center, an in-patient drug and alcohol treatment hospital, an outpatient clinic for children, adolescents and families, and a therapeutic group home for children. I have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and in private practice since 2009.
In addition to working as a therapist, I am also a certified yoga teacher. I have taught local yoga classes since 2008, focusing on restorative practices, hatha (balance) practices, and vinyasa (flow) practices. I will incorporate elements of yoga into my work with therapy clients, if they are interested. These elements include conscious breathing, gentle postures, mindfulness practices, and meditation.
In my personal time, I enjoy being with my husband and our two children. I also draw and write poetry when the creative juices are flowing.
